Number of Cycles

The total number of read cycles and index cycles cannot exceed the number of cycles specified by the reagent kit. The index cycle limit applies to cycles used as an index, not unique molecular identifier (UMI) cycles or trimmed reads.

If planning a cloud run that uses multiple analysis configurations, provide the longest read length required by the configuration. When setting up a configuration, override automatically trims the length based on the recommended lengths for the selected library prep kit.

The value for Read 2 is typically the same as the value for Read 1.

Cycle Limits

Read 1: Up to 151 cycles.

Index 1: Up to 12 cycles for a run planned in BaseSpace Sequence Hub. Up to 10 cycles for runs planned on-instrument.

Index 2: Up to 12 cycles for a run planned in BaseSpace Sequence Hub. Up to 10 cycles for runs planned on-instrument.

•

Read 2: Up to 151 cycles.
