Omit BeadChips and Stripes from a Scan
You can omit BeadChips from a scan. You can also omit individual stripes within a BeadChip, unless you are using Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). All sections of a BeadChip must be scanned when using LIMS.

On the iScan Control Software Setup screen, the BeadChip preview area is on the left side of the screen. At the top of the BeadChip preview area, select a BeadChip to change the scan settings. |
|
2.
|
In the selected part of the BeadChip Preview area, select individual stripes on the BeadChip to deselect them. To omit multiple stripes at once, click and drag. |
Deselected stripes change color from light blue to dark gray.

3.
|
When you have scanned the BeadChips and selected Scan in the iScan Control Software (for instructions, refer to Load and Scan BeadChips), a confirmation dialog box informs you that some sections are omitted from the scan. If any stripe within a sample on the BeadChip is deselected, intensity data (*.idat files) are not saved for that sample. |
