Use LIMS with the iScanDx Instrument

The iScanDx Operating Software is compatible with the Illumina Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) program.

To use the LIMS program, enable it for use with the iScanDx Instrument before beginning a scan. Complete the following steps in the iScanDx Operating Software iDOS.

1. Open the iDOS by selecting iDOS from the desktop.
2. From the menu in the upper left corner of the screen, select Tools, and then select Options.
3. In the Options dialog box, select the LIMS tab.
4. On the LIMS tab, select Enable LIMS, and then select OK.

To disable LIMS, deselect Enable LIMS, and then select OK.

1. From the menu in the upper left corner of the screen, select Tools, and then select Options.
2. In the Options dialog box, select the LIMS tab.
3. On the LIMS tab, select New.
4. Specify the name and port of the LIMS server to be added, and then select OK.

The new LIMS server is added to the list in the LIMS tab of the Options dialog box and to the LIMS drop-down menu on the iDOS Welcome screen.

1. From the menu in the upper left corner of the screen, select Tools, and then select Options.
2. In the Options dialog box, select the LIMS tab.
3. On the LIMS tab, highlight the name of the LIMS server you want to remove, select Delete, and then select OK.
