Liquid Handling Arm Specifications
The following table lists the precise specifications regarding LiHa repeatability and positioning accuracy at 9 mm spacing, with all eight tips operating simultaneously.
Worn parts can result in deterioration of repeatability and accuracy, which affects these specifications.

While the Infinium workflow does not use this capability, each tip can independently detect the surface of a conductive liquid by measuring changes in capacitance. Each channel incorporates individual liquid detection. In general, this detection is feasible for conductive liquids of the following volumes:
•
≥ 50 μl: Low-conductive liquid in microplates with round bottoms. |
•
≥ 100 μl: Conductive liquid in sample tubes with a diameter of 10 mm or 13 mm (0.39 in or 0.51 in). |
•
≥ 150 μl: Conductive liquid in sample tubes with a diameter of 16 mm (0.63 in). |
•
≥ 5 ml: Conductive liquid in a reagent trough. |
