The IAPS with ILASS has installation and maintenance precautions to ensure safety and proper functioning. Trained Illumina personnel must handle instrument installation and positioning using official documentation. Maintenance is handled mainly by Illumina-trained field service personnel, and includes periodic routines and careful handling during repair or shipment.
Handle tips, tubes, and loading trays with care. Biohazard precautions are necessary when working with certain materials. Electromagnetic RF precautions are in place, and safety labels indicate potential hazards.
The system complies with FCC regulations and has electromagnetic compatibility. Specific material handling precautions are outlined in the following sections. Disposal guidelines are available on the Illumina website.
The system is a Class 1 laser product, compliant with FDA requirements, and includes laser safety labels for safe operation.
