Maintenance

Maintenance procedures for the MiSeq system are crucial for its optimal performance. Regular maintenance includes post-run washes after every run, monthly maintenance washes, standby washes (if the instrument remains unused for 7 days or longer), and instrument shutdowns as needed. If you're using the VeriSeq PGS workflow, there are specific maintenance frequency guidelines to follow for it. The maintenance wash process involves flushing the system with a fresh wash solution and typically takes around 90 minutes to complete. You can also configure the instrument to initiate a maintenance wash automatically between runs. Additionally, the MiSeq system allows you to manage files, perform software updates (either automatically or manually), and power cycle the instrument when necessary. Be sure to follow these maintenance and operational guidelines to ensure the proper functioning of your MiSeq system.
