Load the Reagent Cartridge

Open the reagent chiller door. |
Do not leave the reagent chiller door open for extended periods of time.
|
2.
|
Hold the reagent cartridge on the end with the Illumina label and slide the reagent cartridge into the reagent chiller until the cartridge stops. |
Always use the reagent cartridge associated with the type of flow cell that you loaded. If the reagent cartridge is not compatible, a message appears on the screen. Select Back to load the appropriate reagent cartridge or Home to return to the Home screen.

Close the reagent chiller door. |

If the software does not identify the RFID of the reagent cartridge, refer to Troubleshooting RFID Not Recognized Error on the MiSeq. |

If the reagent cartridge is not compatible with the flow cell, a message appears. Select Back to load a compatible cartridge, or select Exit to return to the Home screen. |
In the event the RFID cannot be read, perform the following steps:
|
a.
|
Open and then close the reagent chiller door to retry the RFID read. |
|
b.
|
If the RFID fails a second time, select Enter Reagent Kit Barcode. |
|
c.
|
Enter the reagent kit barcode number, which is on the kit label, directly below the barcode. |
|
d.
|
Enter the reagent kit part number, which is located to the right of REF on the kit label. |
|
e.
|
Select Next to return to the Load Reagents screen. |
|
f.
|
Select Next to proceed to the next run setup step. |

Close the reagent compartment door. |
