Instrument Settings

This section provides information for configuring the available customization settings. You can also change default run settings on a per run basis during run review.

To set a default output folder, refer to Set Default Output Folder.

Instrument Nickname

1.

Select the menu icon in the upper-left corner.

2.

Select Settings, and then select Instrument settings.

3.

Enter a preferred nickname for the instrument. The nickname can include up to 20 alphanumeric characters, and displays at the bottom of the screen.

Select Save.

Set Default Run Selection

1.

Select the menu icon in the upper-left corner.

2.

Select Settings, and then select Instrument settings.

3.

Select a default run selection from the following options:

•

Select planned runs

•

Generate BCLs only

•

Import sample sheet for local analysis

4.

Select Save.

Select Default Reagent Purge Option

This setting automatically purges residual reagents remaining in spent cartridges after a sequencing run completes.

1.

Select the menu icon in the upper-left corner.

2.

Select Settings, and then select Instrument settings.

3.

Select the Purge reagent cartridge after run checkbox.

4.

Select Save.

Set Default Run Data Management

1.

Select the menu icon in the upper-left corner.

2.

Select Settings, and then select Instrument settings.

3.

To change the default setting for runs with local analysis, deselect the Transfer BCL data folder to the external storage and/or cloud checkbox.

This setting does not apply to manual runs generating BCL files only or runs with cloud analysis.

Select Save.
