External Storage

Use the instructions in this section to connect to an external folder, select one or more output folders, and specify the default output folder. You can change the output folder for each run during run setup. The software saves CBCL files and other run data to the output folder. A network drive or USB drive can be used, but a network drive is recommended.

An output folder must be configured before starting any sequencing runs. If the runs are planned, monitored, and stored using BaseSpace Sequence Hub or ICA, then the Don't transfer run data to external storage output folder option must be selected during the sequencing run review, and an output folder does not need to be configured.
