Plan a Sequencing Run

Use one of the following options to plan a sequencing run for the instrument. After setting up a run, the planned run displays on the Planned tab in the Runs screen. The planned run is available for selection when initiating a sequencing run.

To plan your run in the cloud (with BaseSpace Sequence Hub), use the Run Planning tool in BaseSpace Sequence Hub to set up a sequencing run.
Before planning a run, configure your cloud settings. Refer to Cloud Settings for more information.
Runs planned in the cloud can be configured to complete secondary analysis on instrument. This feature requires that all necessary resource files for analysis are installed on the instrument.
For more information on BaseSpace Sequence Hub, refer to the BaseSpace Sequence Hub support site page.
To plan your run locally (on instrument), use the MiSeq i100 Series Control Software or Illumina Run Manager on a networked computer.
After sequencing, on-instrument analysis starts automatically. CBCL data and DRAGEN secondary analysis output files are stored in the selected output folder. For more information, refer to Create a Local Planned Run.
To set up a sequencing run without a run planning step for custom analysis pipelines, refer to Start a Manual Run (Generate BCL Files).
