Illumina Run Manager

Illumina Run Manager allows you to remotely access the MiSeq i100 Series Control Software for run planning, monitoring sequencing status, viewing results, and modifying select settings. Refer to Navigate Illumina Run Manager for more information.

• To enable remote access for Illumina Run Manager, the hostname and domain must be configured for the instrument, and a valid TLS certificate installed. Refer to Hostname and Domain and TLS Certificate.
• To use Illumina Run Manager remotely, a computer connected to the same local network used for your sequencing system must be used. Compatible browsers are Chrome/Chromium, Edge, Firefox, and Safari.
• If you do not have a TLS certificate to use, a self generated root certificate can be used to access the instrument through Illumina Run Manager. Refer to the MiSeq i100 Series product support site for more information on how to create a trusted self generated root certificate.
• If a DNS service is not available, you can use Illumina Run Manager by mapping the custom hostname to an IP address. Refer to the MiSeq i100 Series product support site for more information on how to map hostnames.

Navigate Illumina Run Manager

Use the following steps to access Illumina Run Manager.

1. From a computer connected to the local network, enter https://<hostname> in your browser.
2. Log in using your instrument account credentials.

The Runs page is the default page that loads after logging in.

• To access additional features, select the menu icon in the upper-left corner.
• To navigate back to the Runs screen, select Close or Exit depending on the screen you are on.

The following features are available. Refer to Users for information on the permissions available to each user group.

• Runs—Perform any of the following actions:
– Plan new sequencing runs. Refer to Plan a Sequencing Run for more information.
– Monitor active run progress. Refer to Monitor Run Progress for more information.
– Review run and analysis metrics for completed runs.
• Users—Add and manage users. Refer to Users for more information.
• Password policy—View and edit password settings. Refer to Password Policy for more information.
• Applications—View and manage DRAGEN applications. Refer to Applications for more information.
• Resources—Import and manage genomes and reference files. Refer to Resource Files for more information.
• DRAGEN—Install or update a DRAGEN license and perform a self-test. Refer to DRAGEN for more information.
• Custom kits—Add and manage custom index adapter and library prep kits. Refer to Custom Kits for more information.
• Audit log—Review the audit log. Refer to Audit Log for more information.
• Cloud settings—Configure cloud settings. Refer to Cloud Settings for more information.
• External storage—Configure external storage options. Refer to External Storage for more information.
• Analysis configuration templates—Configure settings for secondary analysis to allow planning a run on Clarity LIMS.
