Specify an External Drive Output Folder
Use the following instructions to select an external portable drive as the default output folder. A self-powered drive that is formatted to NTFS or GPT/EXTA is recommended.
1.
Plug in an external portable drive using the 3.0 USB port on the side or back of the instrument. |
Make sure that the external portable drive allows write permissions. If it is set to Read Only, the control software is not able to save data to it.
2.
Create a folder on the external portable drive. This folder becomes the default output folder location. |
NextSeq 1000/2000 Control Software requires at least two levels of nested folders to recognize the location as an external portable drive.
3.
From the control software menu, select Settings. |
4.
Under Default Output Folder, select the existing folder path and navigate to the new folder on the external portable drive. |
