Add Users
You can add new users using the NovaSeq X Series Control Software. Only administrators can add users.
Cloud users are automatically created when they first sign into the instrument using their BaseSpace Sequence Hub credentials. After a cloud user is created, their user group is configured manually.

1. | Select the instrument icon to open the global navigation menu. |
2. | Select Settings, and then select Users. |
3. | Select Add user. |
4. | Enter the following information: |
• | User name |
• | First name |
• | Last name |
5. | Confirm that the User enabled checkbox is selected to set the user status as Active. |
Only active users can sign into the instrument.
6. | Enter a temporary password. Temporary passwords cannot be reused. |
The user changes the password when they first sign in. Refer to Password Requirements for password recommendations.
7. | To add a user as an administrator, select the Administrators checkbox. |

8. | Select Save when finished. |

When creating a user, use the following password recommendations.
