Customize System Settings
This section includes information on configuring the available customization settings. You can also change default run settings on a per run basis during run review.
To set a default output folder, refer to Specify the Default Output Folder Location.
| 1. | Select the instrument icon to open the global navigation menu. |
| 2. | Select Settings, and then select Instrument settings. |
| 3. | Enter a preferred name for the instrument. |
The name can include up to 20 alphanumeric characters and appears along the top of each screen.
| 4. | Select Save. |
To configure how the system handles a mismatch between the library tube strip ID in the sample sheet and the loaded library tube strip, do as follows.
| 1. | Select the instrument icon to open the global navigation menu. |
| 2. | Select Settings, and then select Instrument settings. |
| 3. | Select one of the following options: |
| • | Display warning and allow to continue with mismatch—Allows the user to select a different run, reload another library tube strip, or continue with mismatch. |
| • | Block from continuing with sequencing—The user must choose between selecting another run or reloading the library tube strip. |
| 4. | Select Save. |
| 1. | Select the instrument icon to open the global navigation menu. |
| 2. | Select Settings, and then select Instrument settings. |
| 3. | Select a default run selection from the following options: |
| • | Select planned run |
| • | Manually enter run information (BCLs only) |
| • | Import sample sheet for local analysis |
| 4. | [Optional] Set default read lengths for manual runs as follows. |
| a. | Confirm the manual run type is the default run selection. |
| b. | Select the Default read lengths checkbox. |
| c. | Enter read and index information. |
| 5. | Select Save. |
This feature requires BCL Convert 1.4 or later. When enabled, this feature allows the system to automatically detect index information and generate demultiplex and BCL Convert reports. This system setting applies to all runs, unless automatic index detection is otherwise configured in an imported sample sheet. | 3. | To change the default setting, deselect the Automatically detect and update index information checkbox. |
| 4. | [Optional] Select the Save FASTQ files for sequencing only runs checkbox. |
| 5. | Select Save. |
| 1. | Select the instrument icon to open the global navigation menu. |
| 2. | Select Settings, and then select Run output file settings. |
| 3. | To change the default setting for runs with local secondary analysis, deselect the Transfer BCL data folder to the external storage and/or cloud checkbox. |
This setting does not apply to manual runs generating BCL files only or runs with cloud analysis.
| 4. | [Optional] Select the option to delete secondary analysis files from the instrument after they are transferred to the external storage or cloud. |
This setting requires administrator permissions.
| 5. | Select Save. |
