Overview
The Illumina 5-Base DNA Prep enables library preparation from high quality genomic DNA (gDNA) or cell-free DNA (cfDNA) input.
Illumina 5-Base DNA Prep:
| • | Uses a proprietary enzymatic reaction to convert methylated cytosines to thymine in a single step, while retaining the identity of unmethylated cytosines. |
| • | Generates sequencing-ready libraries from a minimum of 50 ng gDNA or 1 ng cfDNA. |
| • | Enables the detection of both methylation and genomic variants from a single library prep using the DRAGEN Germline or DRAGEN Somatic applications available on BaseSpace Sequence Hub. |
