Tissue Handling and Dissociation
Cut large tissues into small pieces, weigh them, and aliquot for easy freezing and to minimize the number of freeze-thaw cycles. For long-term storage, store tissues in liquid nitrogen for best results.
Thawing tissue before dissociation can result in the degradation of RNA.
To ensure optimal use of the kit, weigh tissues before proceeding with dissociation. The following table specifies optimal kit usage for extraction. If you have an unvalidated tissue type, you may need to alter tissue quantity.
