Instrument Operation Precautions
| • | During instrument operation, do as follows. |
| – | Keep the front safety door firmly closed. |
| – | Never reach inside the instrument. |
| – | Stand clear of all moving parts and the worktable. |
| – | Do not lean over, into, or onto the instrument. |
| • | Be aware of pointed tips and other sharp-edged elements, which might cause injuries when you reach into the working area with the safety door open. Always be aware of the mechanical hazards. |
| • | To avoid spillage and the risk of an instrument component shutdown, clear the worktable of labware before any initialization of the instrument. |
| • | To reduce the risk of spillage, make sure all troughs, tubes, and wells in plates remain less than 80% full. |
| • | To reduce instrument operation errors, follow the maintenance and verification procedures. |
| • | After power loss to the instrument occurs, close the front safety door, restart the instrument, and execute daily maintenance. |
