Instrument Overview
The IAPS with ILASS is a precision instrument that automates specific steps in the Illumina Infinium array workflows.
Reagent containers, microplates, and tubes are loaded into a set of carriers on the instrument worktable. After initiating a workflow step through ILASS, the IAPS with ILASS instrument uses the PosID3 and the robotic manipulator arm (RoMa) to scan barcodes on items placed on the worktable.
The IAPS with ILASS then completes workflow tasks using a set of mechanisms. The fixed tips on the liquid handling arm dispense reagents. The Te-Flow chamber rack on the instrument worktable and its connected water circulator, adjusts the temperatures of the BeadChips.
After completion of all steps in the a workflow, the BeadChips undergo processing and preparation for scanning.
