System Overview

The Infinium Amplification System (IAS) automates the pipetting of liquid samples and reagents for different Illumina protocols. Use this documentation as a reference for operating the IAS.

The IAS allows you to perform the following tasks:

Load and unload samples, reagent containers, microplates, tips, and tubes.

•

Aspirate and transfer liquids through pipetting tips.

•

Handle and transfer microplates and tips.

•

Dispose of used pipetting tips.

The IAS uses the Illumina Lab Automation Software Solution (ILASS) as its on-instrument software. For information about ILASS, refer to the Illumina Lab Automation Software Solution Product Documentation.
