LIMS Integration

ILASS can integrate with Illumina Laboratory Information Management Service (ILIMS) or Clarity LIMS. Both services provide positive sample tracking throughout the workflow. They also validate barcodes and store run data.

To enable either the ILIMS or Clarity LIMS integration, a trained Illumina field service representative must set it up during ILASS installation. The services have the following differences:

ILIMS—ILIMS is an on-premises solution only. There is no hosted option available. ILIMS is limited to Infinium array workflows only and does not require Internet access. If you are using ILIMS with the Infinium Genotyping EX48 workflow, you must have ILASS v1.6 or later installed.

Clarity LIMS—Clarity LIMS is a cloud-based solution that is hosted by Illumina. It supports both arrays and sequencing workflows and requires a network connection and Internet access. Clarity LIMS is compatible with ILASS v1.5 and earlier for the following array workflows:

Infinium Genotyping (EX24/EX48)

Infinium Genotyping with PGx (LCG8/EX24/EX48)
