Flow Cell Tiles

During the sequencing run, the single lane of the flow cell is imaged in small imaging areas called tiles. All MiSeq flow cells have a single lane, but the number of tiles differs depending on the type of flow cell you are using.

When the tiles are imaged during the sequencing run, one output file is generated for each tile. For more information, refer to Flow Cell Tile Numbering.
