Dispose of Used Consumables

This set of reagents contains potentially hazardous chemicals. Personal injury can occur through inhalation, ingestion, skin contact, and eye contact. Ventilation should be appropriate for handling of hazardous materials in reagents. Wear protective equipment, including eye protection, gloves, and laboratory coat appropriate for risk of exposure. Handle used reagents as chemical waste and discard in accordance with applicable regional, national, and local laws and regulations. 1. Remove the dry cartridge from the instrument. Refer to Eject Used Consumables.
2. Open the cartridge.
a. Place one hand under the cartridge, placing your fingers in the finger scoops for leverage.
b. Place your other hand on top of the cartridge and pull the front tab out and upward to disengage the snaps. An audible click indicates that the cover is disconnected.

3. Remove the black interior cartridge from the white bottom shell.
4. Recycle the white dry cartridge shell in accordance with the applicable standards for your region.
5. Remove the flow cell component (A) and RFID (B) from the interior cartridge, and then discard in accordance with the applicable standards for your region for your region.

6. Discard the black interior cartridge.

Keep the wet cartridge in an upright position to prevent any potential leakage of residual reagents in the cartridge. For more information regarding reagent handling, refer to Empty Waste Bottle.

1. Remove the wet cartridge from the instrument. Refer to Eject Used Consumables.
2. Remove the RFID label and the RFID located beneath the label (A) from the wet cartridge shell. Discard in accordance with the applicable standards for your region.

3. To separate the wet cartridge interior from the shell, press the tabs on both sides of the cover.

4. Gently slide out the interior.

5. Remove the white cover from the top of the black interior cartridge.
6. Recycle the white wet cartridge shell in accordance with the applicable standards for your region.
7. Discard the black interior cartridge.
