Software Update
All users are able to view the information about the current software version and manually check for updates. Only administrators can perform software updates. If the instrument does not have internet access, you must download the installation file before performing a software update. Download the file from the MiSeq i100 Series support site.
You cannot update the software when a sequencing run is in process.
If any of the following conditions are in progress, a warning message displays and the condition is canceled if you continue:

Sequencing or analysis in progress. |

•
|
Requeue is in progress. |
|
•
|
File copy is in progress. |
|
•
|
DRAGEN installation, license update, or self test is in progress. |
|
•
|
The instrument is shutting down. |
Software Update with Internet Access

1.

Select the menu icon in the upper-left corner. |
|
2.
|
Select Settings, and then select Software update. |
|
3.
|
Select Check online for software update. |
If Automatically check for software update is enabled, checking for software updates is performed automatically when the page loads.
If an update is available, the software version is displayed along with a link to review the release notes.

|
Select Download update. |
|
5.
|
After the download is complete, select Install update. |
|
6.
|
After the software has been updated, you will need to install the DRAGEN applications and import the reference genomes. |
Software Update without Internet Access

Select the menu icon in the upper-left corner. |
|
2.
|
Select Settings, and then select Software update. |
|
4.
|
Browse for the installation file, and then select View files. |
|
5.
|
Select Install update. |
|
6.
|
After the software has been updated, you will need to install the DRAGEN applications and import the reference genomes. |
