Plan a Sequencing Run
You can use one of the following options to plan a sequencing run for the NovaSeq X Series. After setting up a run, the planned run displays on the Planned tab in the Runs screen and is available for selection when initiating a sequencing run.
| • | To plan your run in the cloud, use BaseSpace Sequence Hub. |
| – | Before planning a run, make sure you have configured your cloud settings. Refer to Configure Cloud Settings and Proactive Support for more information. |
| – | After saving, the run is available on the instrument for sequencing. If the instrument is not connected to the cloud, you can export a sample sheet v2 file and import the sequencing run into your sequencing system. |
| – | For more information on BaseSpace Sequence Hub, refer to BaseSpace Sequence Hub support site page. |
| • | To plan your run locally, use the NovaSeq X Series Control Software available on-instrument or via a networked computer. |
| – | After sequencing, on-instrument analysis starts automatically. CBCL data and DRAGEN secondary analysis output files are stored in the selected output folder. |
| – | If using a networked computer, the computer must be connected to the same local network as the sequencing system and have a root certificate installed. |
| – | To set up a run and perform sequencing without a network connection, refer to Start a Manual Run. |
