Software Overview

The VeriSeq NIPT Solution v2 – RUO is an integrated system that enables assessment of over or under representation of chromosomes from maternal peripheral whole blood samples. The assay offers two options for types of screening: basic and genomewide. The basic screen provides this information for chromosomes 21, 18, 13, X, and Y only. Genomewide screens provide this information for all chromosomes and partial deletions and duplications. Both screening types offer an option to request sex chromosome reporting.

The VeriSeq NIPT Solution v2 – RUO system architecture comprises the following components:

VeriSeq NIPT Microlab STAR (ML STAR)—An automated liquid handling instrument that uses the VeriSeq NIPT Workflow Manager and TG VeriSeq NIPT Sample Prep Kits to prepare and track library samples. The ML STAR uses the VeriSeq NIPT Assay Software v2 – RUO to prepare samples intended for analysis, according to the Instructions for Use provided in the Protocol section.
Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) Instrument—A genomewide sequencing instrument that provides on-instrument cluster generation and sequencing. The control software provides the steps to set up a sequencing run and generates sequencing reads for all samples in the quantified library pool.
VeriSeq NIPT Onsite Server v2 – RUOA server that hosts the VeriSeq NIPT Assay Software v2 – RUO and stores data to analyze paired-end sequencing data. The VeriSeq NIPT Assay Software continuously monitors and analyzes sequencing data and produces sample results, process reports, and notifications.
