Scanning Process Overview
This section provides an overview of the steps involved in scanning BeadChips with the iScan System.
| 1. | Download the DMAP files (decode data) for your BeadChips as follows. |
| a. | Download the Decode File Client from your MyIllumina account. |
| b. | Use the Illumina Decode File Client to download the DMAP files. |
| 2. | Start the iScan System. For more information, refer to Start the iScan System. |
| 3. | Load the BeadChips onto a carrier, load the carrier into the iScan Reader tray, and scan the BeadChip carrier barcodes. For more information, refer to Load BeadChips. |
This process does not describe how to use the AutoLoader with the iScan System to automate BeadChip loading. For more information, refer to the AutoLoader 2.x User Guide (document # 15015394).
| 4. | If necessary, select a different image format, scan settings, data normalization settings, and input/output path. Make sure that input and output paths are correct. For more information, refer to Configure iScan Control Software. |
| 5. | Scan BeadChips. For more information, refer to Scan BeadChips. |
| 6. | View BeadChip images. For more information, refer to View Scan Results. |
| 7. | Remove BeadChips and shut down the iScan System. For more information, refer to Shut Down the iScan System. |
