Factory Restore

Performing a factory restore erases all data on the instrument.

If there is a critical system error, an Administrator can perform a factory restore to resolve the issue. This process takes about 90 minutes and it cannot be canceled after it is initiated. After restoring the system to its original factory state, restart the control software, and reinstall applications and resources using the following steps.

1. Perform First Time Setup. Refer to First Time Setup
2. Download desired DRAGEN applications and associated Reference Genomes. Refer to Applications.
3. Contact Illumina Technical Support to request a new DRAGEN offline license for your instrument.
4. Download the license to a network or USB drive. The license will be in a zip file.

Do not unzip the license file.

5. Connect your network or USB drive to the control software. Refer to External Storage .
6. Navigate to DRAGEN > License and select Offline from File to install the license.
